1. INTRODUCTION
We ("Service Provider," "we," "us," or "our") respect your privacy and are committed
to protecting it. This Privacy Policy describes our data practices when you use the
MyPDFAgent services (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge
that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy.

2. SERVICE ARCHITECTURE & DATA PROCESSING
To deliver our document processing capabilities, we operate a hybrid architecture:

A. CLIENT-SIDE PROCESSING (Browser-Based)

• For many operations (including merging, splitting, rotating, and organizing), processing occurs exclusively within your web browser using WebAssembly (WASM) technology.
• For these operations, your documents are never transmitted to our servers. All processing happens locally on your device.
• We have no access to, and cannot view, documents processed client-side.

B. SERVER-SIDE PROCESSING (Remote Conversion & AI Tools)

• For advanced operations (such as PDF-to-Excel conversion and OCR), documents may be transmitted to our Processing Servers.
• AI Features (Gemini API): For AI-powered features like "Chat with AI", we utilize the Google Gemini Free API via Google AI Studio. When you use these specific features, the text content of your documents and your chat prompts are securely transmitted to Google's API to generate responses.
• By using our AI features, you also acknowledge and agree to Google's Privacy Policy regarding the use of their services.
• Encryption: All data in transit between your browser, our servers, and third-party APIs (like Google Gemini) is protected using industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.2+/HTTPS) encryption.
• Processing Only: Documents are processed solely to perform the requested operation and for no other purpose.

3. DATA RETENTION & DELETION POLICY
WE OPERATE A STRICT "NO-STORAGE" POLICY FOR USER DOCUMENTS.

• Transient Processing: Files transmitted to our servers are held in Transient Volatile Memory (RAM) only for the specific duration required to perform the requested conversion operation.
• Automatic Deletion: Upon completion of the processing task (or upon failure), the original file and any converted output are immediately and permanently purged from our systems. We do not archive, backup, or retain user documents.
• No Document Database: We do not maintain a database or any persistent storage of user-uploaded document content.
• No Human Review: User documents are not reviewed, read, or accessed by any human personnel.

4. LOGGING AND ANALYTICS

• Server Logs: Like all internet services, our servers may automatically collect basic technical connection metadata for security, DDoS protection, abuse prevention, and diagnostic purposes, including: IP address, browser type and version, device type, timestamp, and request URLs. This technical data is NOT linked to document content.
• Usage Metrics & Analytics: We actively collect usage analytics, app activity, and statistics (e.g., tracking which tools and features are used most frequently) to populate and update features such as "Trending Features" on our homepage, as well as to improve Service performance. We do not track individual user behavior to create personal advertising profiles, but we do monitor app usage.
• Cookies: We may use essential cookies for session management and security. We do not use tracking cookies or share data with advertising networks.

5. DATA SECURITY DISCLAIMER
While we implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data
during transmission and processing, **NO METHOD OF TRANSMISSION OVER THE INTERNET OR
METHOD OF ELECTRONIC STORAGE IS 100% SECURE.** We cannot guarantee absolute security.

• You transmit files to our servers at your own risk.
• You are responsible for ensuring that any sensitive, confidential, or regulated data you process through the Service is appropriately protected according to your own legal and compliance requirements.
• We are not responsible for any unauthorized access, interception, or breach that occurs despite our security measures.

6. THIRD-PARTY DISCLOSURE

• No Selling of Data: We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise transfer your personal data or document content to outside parties for commercial purposes.
• No AI Training: We do not use your documents to train machine learning or AI models.
• No Advertising: We do not share data with advertising networks or use your data for advertising purposes.
• Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Service Provider, our users, or the public.
• Service Providers: We may engage third-party service providers (e.g., cloud hosting, CDN services) who may process data on our behalf. Such providers are contractually obligated to maintain confidentiality and security.

7. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
Your data may be processed on servers located outside your country of residence. By
using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your data to countries that may
have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.

The Service is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or equivalent
minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information

FOR ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM:

• Unauthorized access to data during transmission;
• Any breach of security despite reasonable precautions;
• Your decision to transmit sensitive or regulated data;
• Third-party actions beyond our control;
• Your failure to implement appropriate security measures on your end;
• Our collection, processing, retention, or potential loss of any usage analytics or app data.

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time, in our sole discretion,
without prior notice. Changes become effective immediately upon posting. Your continued
use of the Service after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
